SPRAYWATCH PROTEST AGAINST COUNCIL THIODAN SPRAYING

Boutique Museums The Way To Go

The Classic Flyers Museum is a fine example of a boutique museum located over at the Mount which is self funded and isn't subsidised by the council. It is run by volunteers including Ross Prestidge's father Terry Prestidge who is shown in these photos. We propose that any new museum should follow the Classic Flyers Museum example of how to be self funded.

Tauranga GardenWatch

When the Strand Redevelopment, Stage Two took place six years ago these Strand Gardens (pictured above) were removed. Tauranga Gardenwatch and Tauranga Harbourwatch had to bargain long and hard with TCC to get new replacement beds (pictured below) planted on Cameron Road.

The Strand Project Manager at the time Graham Baker, commented that theres were in compensation for destroying the Strand Gardens. They are very nice but in no way make up for the loss of the Strand.
