Tauranga Ratewatch is Tauranga City's local body political group whose main goal is to keep a lid on the city's rate increases.







Our objectives are to:
  • New faces for Tauranga City Council / Environment BOP - read more
  • Fresh approaches to running your city, reining in staff bureaucracy and soaring rates
  • No museum over the water - read more
  • Welcome Bay Underpass now. Transit N.Z. to pay. read more
  • Devonport Rd for southern pipeline.
    Investigate halting the pipeline project and looking for cheaper alternatives.
  • Sort out public transport
    $1 bus rides for all for starters, more to come.
  • Consultation with the city's youth and elderly forums.
  • No preferences and binding agreements with City Strategic Partners. Tendering contracts to be transparent.
